South London Contemporary Extension to a Period Home
Solid walnut frames with inset modern smooth painted doors and drawer fronts, and a bespoke reeded walnut pill-shaped island create a kitchen in harmony with the historic house and its contemporary extension.
The kitchen design for this luxury South London residence bridges the stylistic gap between the heritage of the original house and the contemporary extension which houses the kitchen. The temptation to install a shaker kitchen was avoided in favour of cabinetry from The Modern British Classic collection. Walnut accent frames with inset shadow edge doors finished in Farrow & Ball Pigeon, accented with a contemporary fluted walnut island from our Horizon Collection, strikes a harmonious balance between a traditional hand-crafted kitchen and a stylish contemporary Kitchen.
All cabinetry was hand-made by Modern British in our Hampshire workshop
